Independent hearing & tinnitus research. How we review health claims.

About Sound Sense Guide

Why this publication exists and how we approach health-product research.

Health information noticeThis page is educational and is not medical advice. Tinnitus can have many causes; seek professional evaluation for new, one-sided, pulsatile, sudden, or otherwise concerning symptoms.

Our purpose

Sound Sense Guide is an independent publication about tinnitus, hearing wellness, supplements and product claims. We aim to make commercial research useful without pretending that affiliate marketing is clinical evidence.

How we make money

Some product links are affiliate links. If you purchase after clicking one, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is not increased by our disclosure.

Our boundaries

We do not diagnose conditions, invent firsthand product experience, copy seller testimonials as fact, or claim that dietary supplements cure tinnitus.

What we publish

Our core coverage includes tinnitus basics, symptom patterns, hearing-loss relationships, management options, supplement ingredients, commercial product reviews and product comparisons. We create a separate page only when the reader is trying to accomplish something meaningfully different; otherwise related questions are consolidated into one stronger guide.

How we handle commercial content

Product pages may contain affiliate links, but they must still identify where a statement comes from. Merchant pages can establish what a seller currently claims, what price is displayed, and which ingredients are highlighted. They cannot, by themselves, establish that the product delivers a clinical outcome. When a claim exceeds what the evidence supports, we say so.

We also avoid invented firsthand experience. If Sound Sense Guide has not personally tested a product in a documented way, we do not write as though we have.
